It is a trauma‑informed, restorative, and neuroscience‑aligned pathway that helps students, families, educators, and leaders move from chaos to calm, from confusion to clarity, and from reactivity to intentional action. This framework was created to answer a simple but powerful question: What if regulation, connection, and learning could be taught in a clear, repeatable, compassionate way? The C.L.A.R.I.T.Y. What C.L.A.R.I.T.Y. Stands For
C — Connect Establish safety, presence, and human connection. Before learning or problem‑solving can happen, the nervous system must feel safe.
L — Listen. Hear the story beneath the behavior or the action. Listening and tuning in creates space for understanding; understanding creates possibility.
A — Acknowledge. Validate. Name. emotions, and needs. Acknowledgment reduces defensiveness and opens the door to regulation.
R — Regulate Support nervous system calming and co‑regulation. This is where students learn tools to return to center.
I — Identify Name the root cause, pattern, or unmet need. Clarity comes from knowing why something is happening.
T — Think and Tell. Explore options, solutions, and next steps. This is where executive functioning and problem‑solving come alive. Tell-Share what you felt, what you needed, and what the moment was like for you without blame, without performance, and without rewriting anyone else’s story.
This step centers your lived experience, not accusation or defensiveness.
